But what if we told you that you don’t have to buy a high-end store product to reap all these benefits and could make them at home instead for a fraction of the price?
If we’ve got your attention, read on for three great DIY projects you can have a go at in your own home using eucalyptus oil…
Bring the spa to your shower with a spray designed to infuse the steam around you with the relaxing scent of eucalyptus.
It’s super easy to make at home – all you’ll need is distilled water, eucalyptus oil, and a spray bottle. Use around two bottle cap sizes of eucalyptus oil for every sixteen ounces of water and mix together. A glass bottle is best for both elegance and to avoid the oil breaking down plastic. Now your shower smells amazing, why not bring the wonderful scent to your garden too? This DIY citronella and eucalyptus candle recipe from Clementine Daily is perfect to enjoy outdoor activities without being bitten alive by mosquitos!
This project is a little more complex – you’ll need beeswax a candle wick, tacky glue, citronella essential oil, eucalyptus essential oil and an enamel mug or other heatproof container.
You’ll need to add drops of tacky glue to the base of the wick and roll the top around a skewer. From here put the skewer across the mouth of the mug and press the base of the wick firmly onto the bottom of the container. Bring water to the boil and place a pouring pot in the water. Fill the pot with beeswax melt completely. Add 10-20 drops of citronella oil for each candle and 5-10 drops of eucalyptus oil until you’re happy with the scent. Pour the mixture into your container and allow to set for at least 24 hours.

Top this with several tablespoons of rubbing alcohol. Shake and leave to infuse for three days, then decanter into spray bottles. This spray will not only lead to a better night’s sleep, but can treat muscle soreness, help with sinus infections and even reduce stress. Now you’ve got all the directions, you’re good to go!
